Below you will find the 2014 Snow Mold Fungicide Research Reports from the University of Wisconsin completed during the winter of 2013-2014. Research trials were held at 6 sites across the Midwest: OJ Noer Turfgrass Research Center in Madison, WI; Tumbledown GC in Madison, WI; Wausau CC in Wausau, WI; Marquette CC in Marquette, MI; The Legacy at Craguns Resort in Brainerd, MN; and Silver Bay CC in Silver Bay, MN. Excellent pink snow mold (Microdochium nivale) pressure was found at Wausau CC, while extreme speckled snow mold (Typhula ishikariensis) pressure was found at Marquette CC. Pictures of each treatment at each site are also included, which are property of the University of Wisconsin and not available for marketing purposes without prior consent.
Special thanks to Mark Watts of Tumbledown GC, Randy Slavik of Wausau CC, Craig Moore of Marquette CC, Matt McKinnon of Craguns Resort, and Norma O’Leary of Silver Bay CC for hosting our snow mold research during the winter of 2013-2014. The results presented here would not be possible without their support.
